SUMMER SCHOOL We have a wide range of courses that will keep you involved in your favorite sport. Call for information or a brochure on any of these programs. If a scheduled course does not fit your schedule, we can arrange your own course. Refresher courses are available for CPR, First Aid and Rescue Diver.
Adventure Diver or Local Diving Diving in the Northeast requires a different set of skills. With fun and safety in mind, we have a program to prepare you. Spend an evening at Pan Aqua fine tuning your buoyancy in the 7mm wetsuit and a day diving at Dutch Springs. You may count all dives towards your continuing education goals. The $189 fee covers class and pool session, transportation, entrance fees, tanks, and weights. Dates: 5/22-23, 6/19-20, 7/10-11, 7/31-8/1, 8/28-29, 9/25-26, 10/16-17, 10/30-31.
Open Water Training Dives If you have completed your class and pool training, now is the time to complete your certification dives. The bus leaves each Saturday and Sunday morning for Dutch Springs. The $319 fee includes all training, transportation, entrance fees, tanks, weights and certification documents. Dates: 5/22-23, 6/19-20, 7/10-11, 7/31-8/1, 8/28-29, 9/25-26, 10/16-17, 10/30-31.
Advanced Open Water Certification Ideally the first dives after your Open Water training, the skills taught in the PADI Advanced Open Water course are the ones that turn a new diver into a confident diver. We dive at Dutch Springs, where diver accommodations allow for the completion of all the necessary dives in a safe and inviting environment. $359 covers all training, transportation, entrance fees to the quarry, tanks, weights and certification documents. Dates: 5/22-23, 6/19-20, 7/10-11, 7/31-8/1, 8/28-29, 9/25-26, 10/16-17, 10/30-31.
Emergency First Responder Learn CPR, First Aid, and AED administration in one simple program. EFR is required for Rescue Diver and is invaluable training for anyone. The $119 cost is all-inclusive. Sign up and receive the study materials before the class meets. The course meets for two nights, May 25 & 27, July 13 & 15, September 28 & 30.
CPR and First Aid Review You've taken EFR but it's been a few years. Recertify yourself for half price.
Oxygen Administration First Aid for diving accidents often involves O2. Be ready to administer O2 properly with this one session program. June 1, July 20 or October 5. Cost is $65 including materials.
Rescue Diver This involves two classroom nights and two days of open water exercises. This is an important course for all divers and is required for all dive leadership programs. Prerequisites are EFR and AOW. Cost is $359. Transportation, quarry fees, tanks and weights are included. Class and dives are offered June 10, 17, 19 & 20; July 22, 29, 31 & August 1; October 7, 14, 16 & 17.
Rescue Refresher Do open water sessions of any scheduled class for only $199.
Enriched Air The PADI video/DVD and textbook make understanding "why enriched air" interesting and thorough. Sign up and study the materials before coming to the class. After analyzing tanks of enriched air and demonstrating mastery of the materials you will be issued your certification. $89 covers instruction and certification. Offered May 12, June 24, July 20, August 19, September 16 and October 21.
Wreck Diver The attraction of northeast diving is wrecks. If you have AOW and want to start the thrilling exploration of wrecks join us for a class and pool session. Cost of the course is $109 plus materials and dive expenses. Offered June 21 and August 2.
Deep DiverWhat special considerations should you make when diving deep? Are you following good dive procedures? Do you have the proper equipment? Let's explore the topic and apply what you learn. Cost of the class is $79. Meet at Pan Aqua on July 8. Certification requires four dives.
Dry Suit Diver Diving dry is warm and comfortable. Add two dives with an instructor to complete your specialty certification. We have scheduled several nights in our best pool, the Manhattan Plaza. May 17, July 7, July 26, August 17, September 14 or October 19. Just $129 plus materials and dives.
Peak Performance Buoyancy Good divers are judged on their buoyancy control. How is yours? Spend an evening learning the tricks to correctly weight yourself and position your center of gravity. Add a dive with an instructor for your specialty certification. Join us June 7 or August 23. $109.
Wreck Diver, Deep Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Sign up for any of these specialties and have your own private class with one or our excellent instructors. Call for the details of your specialty class.
Photo & Video Our instructors will advise you on equipment selection, use and maintenance, and provide pool and/or open water instruction. Instruction is individualized. Call to speak to Maria our photo pro or Lesley our video pro.
Leadership Training Divemaster through instructor training is available through Pan Aqua. We have ongoing Divemaster training and a fall Instructor Development Course available. Contact us for details.
Technical Training If you have an interest in safely extending your diving beyond traditional sport diving ranges, we offer courses in conjunction with Bernie Chowdhury, renowned author and member of the Explorer's Club.
Introduction to Technical Diving Lectures cover technical diving overview and equipment and configuration. Also included are four dives over two days in a controlled environment such as Dutch Springs. Equipment used is no more than would be used for normal recreational diving. Textbook materials are provided. Fee is $299 plus dive expenses. Lectures, June 2 & 3, June 16 & 17, or August 3 & 4.
Advanced Nitrox/Decompression Procedures This is the real "meat" of the technical training and includes a lot of additional materials besides the minimum required by TDI. Included are four class sessions, textbook materials, up to four quarry/controlled water training days and up to three off-shore training days. The $975 instructional fee includes your two certification cards. Dive expenses are additional. Lectures June 22 & 23 or June 29 & 30. |
