EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE Good Skills For Anyone Involved In Adventure Sports

The Emergency First Response Course with PAN AQUA DIVING

In diving, we are trained to lessen the chance of accidents and emergencies, but as in any sport, there are inherent risks. As you advance through your diving career, it is a great idea to possess a skill set that helps you manage these incidents if they occur. The Emergency First Response (EFR) course is the training you need to attain these skills. Plus, the course is a pre-requisite for the Rescue Diver course which, in turn, is a pre-requisite for the Master Diver certification level, the highest non-professional rating possible for recreational divers.

Instruction

The EFR course will teach you Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) for adults, children, and infants. Also, the course teaches students how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED.) This certification is good for two years, after which students will need to take the EFR refresher course.

Knowledge Development

Students will read the EFR manual and complete the classroom lecture which is followed by a practical, hands on portion. The class takes place across two sessions, both of which are broken down into a lecture and practical component. Private classes are available upon request.

There are no set age or prior certification requirements for this course.
